Niks

4 maart 2010 - Bangalore, India

Nothin'.
Today I am writing nothing. It was very warm and Claire and I went to yoga at the Art of Living Ashram ( www.artofliving.org ). After that I helped in the kitchen, and then it was time to meet Dr. Sharan at another location. He was satisfied and so was I. Getting back "home" there was a card from Anne,
Tomorrow I am going on holidays.

That first sentence should maybe read: Today I am not writing anything. However, since there was some writing anyway I exercised poetic licence.

Hi,
I wanted to know if I could ask you some questions about the clinic. I had treatment 2yrs ago in Jayanager, but plan on visiting this summer as an Alexander Technique Teacher. My question is about the new location. Your pictures show the building in the middle of nowhere. Is there a market withing walking distance? How about the rooms, they seem pretty small...do you have to share bathrooms?

@ edicia: You can do some shopping here in the nearest township. It takes 10 - 20 mins to walk there. (But I don't think you need to because everything you need here is provided for) Every room has its own bathroom; with shower, sink and toilet.

Hi Edicia, my name is John and I am Claire's husband (now back in the UK for a month). As an Alexander Technique teacher are you planning to stay at the clinic? but not as a patient, right?
The rooms are hospital rooms and not very big but there is enough space for everything. Like Janneke said every room has its own bathroom; with shower, sink and toilet. There is a cupboard (closet) for your clothes, fridge, microwave and TV. A single bed and air-conditioning. The rooms are cleaned daily and there is a cafeteria (where you get your meals).
The fact that the clinic is in the middle of nowhere is actually a blessing as there is little to distract you from what you went to do there. As a teacher I guess you will make most of the conference room which is in the 3rd floor.
Again, like Janneke said the closest big road with shops is about 20min walking (Gottigere), but Janneke and Claire will have numbers for Tuk-Tuk and Taxi drivers that'll take you anywhere for very little money.
If you have more questions I'll be happy to answer. My email address is john@shocklogic.com and my phone number in the UK is +447771614759
Cheers,
John

Dear Hans Richter,
As I said above I am John. My wife Claire has been with Janneke at RECOUP for the last 6 weeks.
I wanted to say thank you for the excellent work that you do at translating Janneke's blogs. Although I can read Dutch I seem to also read your translation everytime. It is also a source of information for our family and friends as many times Janneke refers to things she did with Claire.
Although, I speak with Claire through Skype at least twice a day and I get to see her through the Skype video. I still miss her terribly. I check everyday Janneke's blog for more details on their day and your input is invaluable.
Thanks,
John

Hi Janneke,

Karen
